Hobs Repairs

Gas & electric hob repairs across Dorset & Hampshire inc. Christchurch and BH23.

Superior Appliances provides in-home hob repairs across Dorset and Hampshire, covering the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area and surrounding BH and SO postcodes including BH23, BH24, BH25 and SO41. We repair a wide range of gas and electric hobs, and as a Gas Safe registered engineer we are qualified to work safely on gas appliances and dual fuel systems.

Gas hob faults commonly include ignition failure, clicking without lighting, uneven flame, weak flame, flame failure device issues, blocked burners and control valve problems. Electric hob faults may include rings not heating, intermittent heating, poor heat regulation, control faults and internal electrical failures. We diagnose the fault, explain the findings clearly, and advise the total cost before proceeding with any repair.

We keep a lot of cooking spares to hand on the van including common components used for hob repairs, and we have good support from manufacturers and wholesalers to ensure spares are available often next day if needed. We regularly deal with brands such as Bosch, Neff, Rangemaster, Smeg, AEG, Zanussi, Hotpoint, Indesit and Beko, plus many more.

Once an appointment date has been agreed upon the engineer will visit your address on the day and make a diagnosis. Where parts are available from van stock you will be advised of the total cost and the repair will be completed there and then. If parts are not available we will call you back on the same day to discuss pricing and a refit appointment at no extra cost.

Service is served in client location — we repair the appliance at your home. Payment can be made by either cash, card, cheque, or BAC’s transfer. In most cases spare parts come with a one year warranty against manufacturing defect (in some cases two year). The labour part of the job comes with a 3 month warranty to cover the fitting of the parts.
